WHAT TO DO AS PART OF YOUR LEASE RETURN IN CINCINNATI

As your present lease draws to a close, chances are you may wonder about the next steps for you and your vehicle. The end of a lease term requires that you have your car or truck inspected and returned to any Chevrolet dealership, but based on how you would like to complete the process, there could be more to it than that. You'll have three basic options for ending your lease: You could buyout your lease, you may return your lease, or you can return your lease and purchase another vehicle. Consider some of our FAQs to answer any concerns you might have regarding the end of your lease.

1. Should I buyout my lease? Opting to buyout your lease is often a great choice depending on your circumstances. You should always compare with your additional lease-end options to make sure that you're making the best choice. Typically, the end-of-lease buyout price will just be any residual value on your lease contract; it's up to you to decide whether or not the residual value is a reasonable price that you can pay. It's necessary to consider whether or not you would pay that price to get a different used car of the same mileage and equipment. 2. What if I want to end my lease early? If you want to end your lease before its scheduled termination, it is easy to buyout your lease at any time, or you may trade-in your car or truck whenever you want. If you wish to turn your vehicle in ahead of time, you will only be responsible for any remaining payments on your lease.
3. Do I need to return my lease to Joseph Chevrolet? You can return your leased vehicle to any Chevrolet dealer, regardless of where you leased it from originally.
4. What is the process for turning my lease in? When you'd like to turn in your lease, your vehicle needs to be examined by a certified agent. Once this has been done, turning in your lease will just require you to complete some paperwork on the vehicle.
5. When do I need to have my vehicle inspected? It's advised that you have your vehicle inspected inside of the last two months of your lease. This will make certain you have enough time to schedule repairs on the vehicle, if there is any required maintenance.
6. Why can't my dealer execute vehicle inspection? Only authorized agents can perform end-of-lease inspections, but if you are able to return your vehicle to Joseph Chevrolet at the conclusion of your lease, we can contact an authorized agent who will perform the inspection.
7. How long will the inspection take? The inspection of your car should take around an hour, unless there's an excess quantity of damage to your vehicle.
8. Do I have to be present through the end-of-lease inspection? While it isn't a requirement that you be there for the inspection of your vehicle, we do strongly recommend it. If you're at the vehicle inspection, you can better understand the assessment results, along with any charges that could apply. In addition to this, you will have to sign off on the vehicle report that the inspector produces; you will also receive a copy of the report at this time.
